Instagram Has No Download Button — On Purpose

Unlike YouTube, Instagram never added a native "save to device" option for Reels, posts, or Stories — the app is built around keeping content inside Instagram. Any Video Downloader works around that by pulling the media directly from the public post's link, which matters most for Stories: they disappear after 24 hours unless the poster adds them to Highlights, so if you want to keep one, you're working against a real deadline, not just convenience.

How to Download from Instagram

1. Open the Reel, post, or Story, tap the three dots (or the paper airplane icon for Stories), and choose Copy Link.
2. Paste the link into the box on Any Video Downloader.
3. Choose MP4 for video or JPG for a photo post.

Reels, Carousels, and Multi-Photo Posts

• Reels download at the resolution Instagram compressed them to, typically up to 1080p vertical.
• Carousel posts (multiple photos or videos in one post) need each item's own link — Instagram doesn't expose a single link that covers the whole carousel, so this tool can't bulk-grab all slides from one paste.
• IGTV and longer video posts work the same way as Reels, just without the vertical crop.

Common Questions

Can I download from a private account? No — if the account is private and you're not an approved follower, Instagram blocks access entirely, and that applies to this tool as much as any browser.

Does this work after a Story expires? No. Once Instagram removes a Story from its servers (24 hours, or immediately if the poster deletes it early), the file is gone — there's nothing left to download.

Will the caption or music track be included? Any text or stickers baked into the video stay in the file. Music added through Instagram's own music sticker is embedded in the video's audio track and downloads with it.
